
Members of the Fosston High School Speech team presented at Fosston Rotary's most recent meeting. Students demonstrated their skills and described their categories. Coach Rue shared information about the upcoming March 12 tournament hosted at FHS. They are #FosstonStrong!

Recently 25 members of the Fosston FFA went to Mahnomen to attend the Region 1 Winter Region Leadership Conference (WRLC). Students participated in multiple workshops including medical safety on the farm, MN Fur Trappers Association and more! There was also a career fair at the Conference. Fosston FFA Chapter won the capture the flag contest and Alexis Bailie won the t-shirt design contest. #FosstonStrong

Today during inside recess Mrs. Carlin’s class was able to work with a partner to create and build. The extra time with the activity bins is nice but we sure miss outside recess. Using our imaginations keeps us growing #FosstonStrong!





On the first day back from break Mrs. Halbur’s kindergarteners realized the grinch had come in and stolen all of their holiday decorations! They spent the day doing grinch themed activities and discussing how it’s not about the stuff, it’s about the people you are around and how you treat one another with kindness 💕 #FosstonStrong





Fosston Schools will utilize an e-learning (distance learning) day for all students Wednesday, January 5. Buildings will be closed and no buses will be operating. Teachers will post lessons using Google Classroom and SeeSaw and will be available throughout the school day to assist students. There will be no after school activities.

Due to extremely poor visibility, Fosston schools and buses will run two hours late Wednesday, January 5. Please stay alert for further updates should conditions become worse.

Fourth and fifth grade students learned the basic idea of Exponential Decay as they worked with triangles to create Christmas trees. Very cool #FosstonStrong results!

Mr. Ron Berntson, a Science instructor at FHS, has been teaching a bridge-building activity to his 9th Grade Intro to Chemistry & Physics class for 28 years. It's always fun to watch as the classes test the strength of their bridges.
Reese Wedin & Ebony Roste impressed the crowd during this year's annual bridge-breaking activity. The freshmen girls' bridge held 201 pounds!

First graders from Magelssen Elementary shared lunch with Fosston Rotarians and enjoyed a visit from Santa on Thursday, December 16. Entertainment was provided by Angie Boushee, Alyssa Macy, Loren Dryburgh and Nathan Fultz. What a wonderful way to celebrate a #FosstonStrong tradition!




Today the Magelssen Elementary Student Leaders wrote over 55 holiday letters to those actively serving our country. They sent them to Fosston graduates or those with a Fosston connection to let them know they are thankful for their service and that they are loved by the Fosston community. We are #FosstonStrong
