
The Fosston Speech Team won 7 th place out of 13 Teams at the Staples/Motley Speech Invitational! Individual awards are as follows : Jenna Hruby 6 th place medal in Prose, Alexus Perreault 3rd place medal in Poetry and a Superior Blue Ribbon in Drama , Annika Landsverk 1st place medal in Extemp. Reading, Max Johnson received a red ribbon of Excellence in Humor, Chase Pierce 4th place medal in Discussion, Allison Carlin 5th place medal in Drama and Brooke Landsverk received a red ribbon of Excellence ! To help celebrate kindness week, Mrs. Macy’s first graders decorated the hallway bulletin board with advice on how to “Lift Each Other Up”. #fosstonstrong





Fosston High School Student Council will be selling Candy Grams next week for $1 each during Jr. High and Sr. High lunches on both Wednesday the 16th and Thursday the 17th. Students can choose how many suckers they would like to send and who they would like to send them to. The Candy Grams will be delivered at the end of the day during 7th hour on Friday the 18th.


Fosston High School is celebrating Snow Week the 14th through the 18th. There will be dress up days and sweet activities throughout the week. The week will begin with Student Council selling Valentine's Day themed donuts before school Monday morning for $1 each.


Due to predicted icy and blizzard like conditions tomorrow, Fosston Public Schools will utilize an e-learning day Friday, February 11. Students will learn from home. Buses will not run and the buildings will be closed. Lessons will be posted by 9:00 a.m.

FHS is looking for community members who would be interested in sitting on a Career Panel for our 9th grade students on February 25th from 8:30 - 8:56 am. Panelists will speak about their careers and preparation for those careers. The panelists should reflect a range of careers, and be ready to discuss their career, how they chose it, what preparation was needed and where they obtained the academic or other training. Students in Mrs. Buehler’s English class created creative response projects to showcase what they learned while reading three different novels in class. This allowed students to respond imaginatively while being brief and concise in making connections between images and main ideas. #FosstonStrong





This year's newest Speech members competed in their first Jr. High Speech Meet on Monday afternoon in Blackduck. All 5 participants brought home either a 2nd place ribbon or a 1st place medal. Way to go Jr. High Speech members! #FosstonStrong

The Speech team competed in DGF (Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton) on Saturday. Jenna Hruby tied for 3rd place for her performance in the category of Prose. Alexus Perreault placed 4th for her performance in Poetry. Allison Carlin placed 5th for her performance in Dramatic Interpretation. Penny Gilbertson and Avery Hruby won red ribbons for their duo performance. All of the students worked so hard and put in their best efforts at this meet. Way to go Speech team! #fosstonstrong


We had so much fun writing our name in shaving cream and building popsicle stick houses with our 3 year old class on Friday. Mr. Boushee even joined the fun for snack and group time in the afternoon. #FosstonStrong
