Magelssen Elementary started a new social emotional learning incentive in January called 🐾Paw-Sitive Performance. This month's topic was RESPECT & any student caught demonstrating respect got to put their card on the board. There were over 85 cards this month. Fosston ECFE and Head Start invite families with children aged 5 and under to join us for an open gym night on February 10 from 6-7 pm at the Fosston High School main gym. This is a free event! Fosston High School Student Council is hosting their annual Spring Blood Drive. The blood drive is Wednesday February 26th from 10am-2pm in the civic center gym. You can get signed up for an appointment slot by going to donors.vitalant.org and using the blood drive code FOSSTONHS.
16 year old donors will need to complete a minor donor permit- which you can find on the website under donor forms.

Alex McGlynn is our school's spelling bee champion! Alex will advance to regionals in TRF and compete for a spot in the national bee.

The Magelssen Student Leaders completed a family game donation service project to provide a way for families to connect during the holidays. The Fosston FFA will be selling Hot Cocoa on Dec 16-19th.
They will be set up during Jr & Sr high lunches.

Last week, FHS National Honor Society conducted their annual Penny Wars competition. The money raised will go towards the Fosston Holiday Spirit Fund, helping to provide warm holiday meals for families in our community.
At the end of the week, the Junior class had earned the most points. As a reward, they will be attending a movie on Wednesday, December 11th at the Fosston Theater.
Way to go, students! And thank you for stepping up and helping families in our community with delicious holiday meals!

Join the Fun! Annual Penny Wars! Get ready for some friendly competition! The National Honor Society is excited to host our Annual Penny Wars from December 2 to December 5.

Magelssen Elementary's holiday dress up fun starts Monday, Dec. 16th!
Sixth grade students completed a 3D design project during their STEM classes. They worked in CAD using Tinkercad to design a personalized keychain that was then 3D printed in a color of their choice. They did amazing work!
