High School and Elementary Paraprofessionals

Fosston Public Schools is seeking qualified candidates for paraprofessional positions to assist students with special needs in the classroom and ensure their safety. Assist with collecting and monitoring of student progress data. Beneficial if candidates possess computer tech-related skills. Other duties may also include lunch and recess supervision as well as supervision on school vehicle rides when necessary. There are openings at all levels: early childhood, elementary and high school. A qualified paraprofessional must have a high school diploma or GED. A highly qualified paraprofessional must meet requirements in ONE of the following areas or the willingness/ability to obtain ONE area in the future: A) Additional postsecondary training; minimum of 60 semester credits from an institute of higher education. Or B) Hold an Associates’ degree or higher; Or C) Achieve a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment. The district is willing to help new hires obtain their paraprofessional certification.
